Temple Quest
Why We Picked Temple Quest
Small, quick and forgiving on the retry, Temple Quest is the shelf's answer to a ten-minute break. The screen is readable at a glance, so you can plan the next jump while finishing this one. The art carries the story that the script does not bother to tell. We kept it because a level here is a five-minute promise rather than a forty-hour one. By the numbers: 37 of 183 on the adventure shelf, 4.6 out of 5 from 513 ratings, and 15.1K plays.
How to Play
What you actually do, in order:
- Move the tiles one at a time into the gap and the picture rebuilds itself.
- The level points you at the exit; the work is the route between here and there.
- Collect on the way through rather than on the way back.
Editor’s Note
If you want a story, the text is thin; if you want a place to move through, it is enough. The checkpoint spacing is generous enough that a bad jump costs seconds.

Temple Quest throws you into trouble from the opening moment: you stole the artifact, and now the only way out is forward, sprinting through an endless maze of crumbling temple ruins with danger snapping at your heels. It is an endless runner in the classic tradition, where every run is a gamble to get just a little farther than the last one.
Movement is quick to learn. Swipe or use the arrow keys to dodge left and right, jump over obstacles, and slide under hazards as the path twists through the ruins. Along the way you collect golden idols, ancient coins, and power-ups that keep a good run alive. Coins feed back into the game between runs, letting you upgrade power-ups so they last longer and hit harder.
Progression comes from more than raw distance. Completing objectives raises your score multiplier, which is the real engine of a big score, so chasing those goals matters as much as surviving. You can also try out different outfits that come with special abilities, giving you reasons to experiment with new approaches instead of repeating the same safe run forever. The temple itself grows faster and more crowded with obstacles the longer you last, which keeps the pressure climbing.
A few habits pay off immediately. Stay near the middle of the path so you have room to dodge in either direction, grab magnets and shield power-ups whenever they appear, and never stretch for a coin line that pulls you into a wall or a gap. Spending coins on power-up upgrades early tends to beat hoarding them for later.
Anyone who loves endless runners like Temple Run or Subway Surfers, enjoys chasing high scores, or likes having unlockable goals to grind toward will feel right at home. It plays free in the browser, on desktop or mobile, with no download needed.
