Robot Police Iron Panther

Why We Picked Robot Police Iron Panther

Robot Police Iron Panther gives you nothing to learn and a score to beat, which is the oldest bargain on this shelf. Partly skill, partly pattern recognition, and the second part is the one you can learn. The run ends when it ends; until then it is keeping the run alive, and the only thing that carries over is a higher number. It is the sort of game that gets another go out of you, and then another after that. By the numbers: 297 of 500 on the arcade shelf, 3.7 out of 5 from 53 ratings, and 2,581 plays.

How to Play

The page documents very little, so these are the things worth knowing before you spend time on it:

• Dismiss any download or pop-up a game triggers; the run continues without it.
• A run ends when you are caught, and the score is the only thing that survives it.
• Spend the first attempt learning the pattern, not chasing the score — the score follows.

Editor’s Note

Playable on touch, though twitch games always lose something when the buttons are glass. It asks for one clean input and punishes a sloppy one, which is the whole contract.
