Resuscit-hate
Why We Picked Resuscit-hate
Resuscit-hate is short by construction: tapping on a touchscreen until it stops working, then start again. Deaths are cheap and immediate, which is why the next attempt starts before the last one has sunk in. The loop is old because the loop works, and nobody has improved on it. It stays because the restart is instant, and instant restarts are the whole economy of arcade games. By the numbers: 410 of 500 on the arcade shelf, 5.0 out of 5 from 5 ratings, and 357 plays.
How to Play
Three things decide whether a run here goes well:
- The layout assumes a phone, so the buttons sit where thumbs already are.
- There is no ending to reach; the run simply stops, and then it starts again.
- Use fullscreen on a small screen; the edges of the play area matter more than the text.
Editor’s Note
The honest limit is the ceiling: a run ends because the game speeds up, not because you improved. There is nothing to unlock and nothing to lose, which is why the restart button gets used so often.
