Rabbit Samurai
Why We Picked Rabbit Samurai
What Rabbit Samurai offers is a platformer you can finish in a sitting, and it does not pad the distance. A run ends at the hazard rather than at a menu, and the retry puts you within sight of the mistake. The hazards are legible, the shortcuts are earned, and the retry is instant. We kept it because a level here is a five-minute promise rather than a forty-hour one. On the record: 60 of 183 on the adventure shelf, 3.9 out of 5 from 215 ratings, and 10.2K plays.
How to Play
The game is small enough to explain in three lines:
- Pick the piece up, move it, and let go; nothing snaps into place for you.
- The exit is marked by the level design rather than by a marker, so read the screen before the map.
- Learn how the character moves on safe ground before you need it over a hazard.
Editor’s Note
If you want a story, the text is thin; if you want a place to move through, it is enough. There is no collectible economy to service; the level is the level.

Rabbit Samurai sets you loose in a colorful world as a sword-wielding rabbit on a rescue mission. His Sensei's mice have been captured and dragged to the wolf's lair, and getting them back means swinging across dangerous terrain with a rope and grappling hook. It is an adventure game built around momentum and aim, where every rescued mouse feels like a small victory and every level hides more than it first reveals.
The signature mechanic is the grappling hook. You click or tap to fire the rope at anchor points, and the rabbit swings and launches through the air, carried by physics that reward good timing. Releasing at the right moment flings you across gaps; holding too long drops you into trouble. Levels also feature a ninja cannon that blasts you across long distances, adding a second, punchier way to travel. Along the way you collect carrots and hunt for hidden crystals tucked into the harder corners of each stage.
The main objective in every level is finding all the mice and freeing them, but the environment fights back. Spikes and other hazards punish sloppy swings, and later stages demand precise chains of grapples with little room for error. The difficulty grows gently at first and then asks real skill of you, especially if you want full completion rather than just reaching the exit. Hidden crystals in particular push you to explore off the obvious path.
Experienced players learn a few reliable tricks. Build momentum with wide swings before attempting long gaps, since speed matters more than height. Aim the hook slightly ahead of your movement so the rope catches while you are still rising. Check walls and ceilings for unusual gaps, because that is where crystals tend to hide, and treat spikes with respect by planning your landing spot before you release, not after.
Rabbit Samurai is a treat for players who enjoy physics-based adventures, rescue missions, and games with secrets worth hunting. It plays for free in the browser, and its click-to-grapple controls translate cleanly to touchscreens for gaming on the go.
