Nikosan Quest
Why We Picked Nikosan Quest
The brief is a shopping list rather than a story: yellow cubes scattered across the stage, monsters and spikes between them, one flag at the end. Nikosan Quest is honest about being a small platformer, and eight stages is enough room for the blades to start arriving in pairs. A thin review count and a small play total suggest a modest scope, but the rules fit in one sentence.
How to Play
Three things decide whether a run here goes well:
- Keyboard only: arrows or WASD to run, with a second jump press in the air.
- Every yellow cube is required before the flag counts, and hazards guard most of them.
- Walk a stage once before chasing cubes; the blades punish a route you improvise.
Editor’s Note
Eight levels, short and readable, with the difficulty climbing once the first few are behind you. It suits players who want a plain collect-and-flag platformer and do not mind a modest presentation or a small audience. By the numbers: 1,124 plays, 4.3 out of 5 from 15 ratings, and 129 of 183 on the adventure shelf.
