Kick the ball and shoot
Why We Picked Kick the ball and shoot
Keeping a ball airborne is a familiar arcade ask; doing it while junk flies at your head is not, and that second part is the whole game. Tires, bottles, and spears arrive on separate arcs, so each rally splits your attention between the ball's landing spot and the next gap in the traffic. Guns and shields come as pickups rather than guarantees, which turns every detour into a decision about what you can afford to risk.
How to Play
Three things decide whether a run here goes well:
- Tap or click to head the ball; timing the contact keeps it bouncing instead of dropping.
- Grab a pistol, shotgun, or grenade launcher to destroy obstacles before they reach you.
- Watch the ball's landing spot, and skip a weapon if the grab crosses a spear's path.
Editor’s Note
Runs last a couple of minutes and restarts are instant, so it suits short breaks better than long sessions. The achievement list gives the cosmetic unlocks a reason to keep going past a first good run.

Kick the ball and shoot is a fast, slightly chaotic arcade sports game built around one simple move: heading a ball and keeping it alive while the world throws junk at you. You tap the ball with your character's head to keep it bouncing, dodge the obstacles rolling and flying your way, and grab weapons to blast the hazards apart before they end your run. It is half keepy-uppy challenge, half survival shooter, and the combination is surprisingly addictive.
The controls are minimal. A tap or click makes your character head the ball at the right moment, and timing is everything, since the ball drifts and bounces in arcs you have to predict. Obstacles come in many forms, including rocks, bottles, fire extinguishers, tires, and even spears, and some of them cannot be dodged easily. That is where the arsenal comes in: collect a pistol, machine gun, shotgun, or grenade launcher to destroy obstacles outright, or grab a shield to shrug off a hit you would otherwise have taken.
Scoring well pushes you to keep long rallies going while staying alive, and the pace ramps up as obstacles arrive faster and in nastier combinations. An achievement system gives you long-term goals beyond a single run, rewarding completed challenges with extra power-ups, skins, sounds, and music, so there is always something to unlock even after you have learned the basics.
Good runs come from discipline more than reflexes. Keep your eyes on the ball's landing spot rather than on your character, and do not chase every weapon pickup if it means drifting into a spear's path. Save the grenade launcher for clusters of obstacles instead of wasting it on a single tire, and treat the shield as your excuse to play aggressively near hazards you would normally avoid.
This one suits players who like one-more-try arcade games with simple inputs and short sessions. If you enjoy juggling challenges, quick reaction tests, or the satisfaction of watching an obstacle explode mid-rally, it delivers exactly that.
