Why We Picked Jump Step
Jump Step is one action repeated until the run ends, and the score is the only thing that survives it. The first stretch of a run teaches the pattern and the rest tests whether you trusted it. A short game with a long shadow: the mistake stays with you for a while. Nothing about it is memorable except the score, and the score is what you came for. For reference: 434 plays, 4.6 out of 5 from 13 ratings, and 403 of 500 on the arcade shelf.
How to Play
Three things decide whether a run here goes well:
- One tap, one action; the game does not ask for a second input to go with it.
- A run ends when you are caught; the score carries over and nothing else does.
- Spend the first attempt learning the pattern, not chasing the score — the score follows.
Editor’s Note
It runs with no install, which is the main reason a game this thin gets played at all. Arcade pages here load the game in place, which keeps the score, the restart, and the back button in the same tab.
