Flappy Blob
Why We Picked Flappy Blob
The first thirty seconds of Flappy Blob are easy, and that is deliberate — the ramp starts after you relax. staying alive through waves that get worse is the job, repeated under mild pressure until the pressure stops being mild. Nothing here is complicated; it is just fast. The reason it stayed: the loop is legible in seconds and still worth another attempt. The page's own numbers: 625 plays, 4.3 out of 5 from 23 ratings, and 384 of 500 on the arcade shelf.
How to Play
Three rules cover almost everything this game asks of you:
- Touch works the same way as a mouse, with nothing hidden behind a right click.
- Every wave is slightly worse than the last; the plan is to still be there at the end.
- Stop after a run that makes you angry; the next attempt is usually worse.
Editor’s Note
It wants a mouse or a keyboard rather than a touchscreen, and it is better for the constraint. It is over quickly, and the restart is the only menu you will see.
