Endless Maze
Why We Picked Endless Maze
The problem Endless Maze sets is narrow: the board and the space left on it, with the space running out faster than the plan. Closer to a crossword than to an action game, and better for the comparison. Early boards forgive almost anything; later ones ask you to plan around pieces you have not seen yet. Nothing about it is novel, and everything about it is finished. For reference: 1,234 plays, 4.5 out of 5 from 49 ratings, and 352 of 500 on the arcade shelf.
How to Play
The page documents very little, so these are the things worth knowing before you spend time on it:
- Reload once if the embed stalls; the second load is usually clean.
- The board starts solvable and ends solved, and the middle part is your planning.
- Slow down past the midpoint, where the board stops forgiving small errors.
Editor’s Note
Nothing carries over between sessions, which is either refreshing or the whole problem. Puzzle pages tend to be light, which is why the larger boards still open quickly on a phone with a weak connection.
